Reports to: Haliburton Highlands Community Director

$19-22 per hour (salary commensurate with experience)

6 hours per week

The Minden Outreach Worker is responsible for developing and running programs to promote the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social health of junior youth girls and their caregivers specifically within Minden. All of the Minden Outreach Worker’s work will be conducted under the supervision of the Haliburton Community Director, in partnership with other HHYU staff, and in a manner that aligns with the mission, values, and policies of Kawartha Youth For Christ (KYFC).

Direct Ministry (3 hours per week):

●      Primary leader in developing and running a new Girls Outreach & Discipleship Group, Haven, which runs every Monday from 2:30-5:30pm in Minden.

 

Ministry Oversight (1-2 hours per week):

●      Communicate and work alongside volunteers.

●      Prepare lessons & activities & delegate snack over sight for programming

●      Alongside the HHYU Directors, continuously dream and vision for future outreach in Minden.

 

Administrative Responsibilities (1-2 hours per week):

●      Communicate in a consistent and timely manner with other staff, volunteers and the Minden Bible Church.

●      Communicate with parents of youth in the program.

●      Meet with the community director every other week (1 hour) to touch base with how the program is going and get assistance where needed.

●      Attendance taken and include notes for supervisor.

Ensure all HHYU health, safety and risk management policies are followed
