Summer Student – Youth Unlimited (Peterborough, ON)
Peterborough Youth Unlimited is hiring a passionate, committed summer student, to support programs that help young people discover hope, purpose, and belonging. This role is ideal for students, emerging leaders, and anyone who wants to invest in the lives of youth, desiring to see every young person fully living in Christ.
What you’ll do
- Build positive, mentoring relationships with youth through programs and events
- Support spring/summer drop‑ins, sports programs, school partnerships, and community outreach
- Assist with planning, setup, and safe supervision of activities
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment for all youth
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
What you bring
- A heart for youth and a desire to serve Christ
- Reliability, maturity, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing needs
- Experience with youth (formal or informal) is an asset
- Willingness to participate in training and follow safety policies
Details
- Part‑time (10-15 hr per week)
- Training provided
- Seasonal spring/summer role (flexible hours and start date)
- The role requires supporting the PYU team with seasonal fundraising.
- Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
