Administrative & Finance Assistant
Satellite/Ministry Area: Chapter, Head Office at 25 Bridge St., Lakefield
Accountable to: Executive Director
Hours Employed: 7.5 hours per week
Salary: $19-27 per hour commensurate with skills and experience
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The goal of the Chapter’s Administrative & Finance team is to provide staff, volunteers, partners and our communities with exceptional service to ensure the mission reaches more youth for Christ. This position reports to the Executive Director to help ensure all KYFC financial partners are cared for through proper and efficient communications, up-to-date data management and reporting. This position also will aid the head office reception, email and phones; for assisting the Executive Director with fundraising efforts and events; and supports the bookkeeper with various finance-related tasks.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCE ASSISTANT
- Manage incoming funds including bank deposits.
- Assist Bookkeeper with:
- Processing and distributing payments.
- Managing Silent Partner desktop, cloud and account software for the organization.
- Various forms of reporting, as requested.
PARTNER RELATIONS and DONATION MANAGEMENT
- Co-manage partner profiles in the donation system (Silent Partner) including entering, updating and maintaining current donor information.
- Co-manage pre-authorized donors including completing bank requirements and activating donations through the Central Banking System interface.
- Assist new and out-going staff in communicating with personal donors.
- Interact with Canada Helps, Square Reader and PayPal for credit card transactions and processing.
- Print address information/labels from database as needed.
- Fundraising Support for Kawartha General as well as for Satellites as determined by the Executive Director (ie. Lindsay SoupFest, Kawartha Lakes Dinner, Bancroft BBQ)
SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Pursue an active and growing relationship with God.
- Participate in training opportunities as approved by the Executive Director.
- Agree to our Statement of Faith and follow YFC Canada Community Covenant.
- Completion of YFC Canada Credentialing Program within 2 years of start date.
MEETINGS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Meet with Supervisor bi-weekly.
- Participate in annual evaluation and job description review.
ADDITIONAL
- Other Duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational and communication skills and has a passion for seeing youth workers equipped to impact youth for Christ.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a mission-minded faith
- Have some experience with basic banking, donation management and bookkeeping practices and/or be willing to learn these skills
- Have excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Possess strong people skills
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be a self-starter and have a strong work ethic
- Be comfortable working independently, but also as part of a team
